“Empowered by the training offered through the project, I successfully launched my own small enterprise in soap making within my town. FWWB assisted me in pinpointing potential business opportunities through thorough market research. I now successfully sell my products to local shops in my town, I am very excited for this new journey and to set an example for young girls like me.”
FWWB assisted me in pinpointing potential business opportunities through thorough market research. I gained essential skills through the training, enabling me to manufacture quality products that are competitive in the market and assisting me in creating the end product. The Master Trainer played a crucial role in identifying a reliable vendor for raw materials and packaging, aiding in the creation of my business card, and initiating my Google Pay account. Through these efforts, I now successfully sell my products to local shops in my town, and I’ve established a partnership with the local hotel,’Mini Tourist Lodge,’ from which I receive frequent orders.
I am very thankful to this project for not only supporting me to create this business, but also giving me the tools to be able to manage it. I am very excited for this new journey and to set an example for young girls like me.”
Access to Social Security:
“In my cohort, many individuals were unfamiliar with the social security scheme, and there existed significant resistance to enrollment, primarily driven by superstitions surrounding potential negative outcomes. However, during the social security camps, a bank official adeptly highlighted the impact of unexpected events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, underscoring the vulnerability of sole earners. This revelation prompted me to enroll in PMSBY & PMJJBY, recognizing the critical importance of securing my financial well-being in the face of unforeseen challenges.”
Creating Competitive Advantage:
“While most products originating from outside the state struggle to reach districts beyond Kohima and Dimapur, local dependence on indigenous produce remains high. Recognizing the logistical challenges and the cost implications of transportation, local vendors expressed a keen interest in sourcing goods from peripheral locations. Capitalizing on this market opportunity, FWWB suggested the creation of chemical-free products and a diverse range of soaps to meet the burgeoning demand. This Unique Selling Point (USP) has allowed.”
