Friends of Women’s World Banking, India (FWWB-I) is an apex Institution, providing Financial and Capacity Building Services to Organizations Promoting Livelihoods and Self Reliance of Poor Women.
Promoting Community Owned and Livelihood Enterprises that leverage benefits of aggregation of ‘producers’ like higher bargaining powers for purchasing and selling, skill building, usage of technology and common infrastructure are an area of focus for FWWB as they have far reaching impact on sustainable livelihoods for the poor and the community.
Along with improving household income, FWWB has a strong focus on reduction of vulnerability of low income households addressed through its Solar Energy, Water and Sanitation, Financial Literacy and Education loan programs. FWWB works pan India and has impacted the lives of more than 2.6 million women over 3 decades.
About the program - Livelihood and Enterprise Development (LEAD): The objectives of LEAD program are to provide:
Financial services such as loan for working capital, backward and forward marketing linkage support to producer enterprises.
Institutional and Capacity Building (ICB) support such as training of management and staff on financial management, accounting practices, business plan preparation, establishment of proper systems and tracking mechanisms which would not only enhance efficiency but also deepen outreach and impact.
About the position: FWWB-I is looking for a professional for the LEAD program, who will be primarily responsible for assisting the Program Manager in various tasks, including communicating with partner organizations, assessing their ICB requirements, making and executing travel plans, etc. Apart from this s/he will participate in other activities of the program and organization.
Terms of employment:
It is a full time employment and annual CTC will be about Rs. 3 lakhs depending upon experience and qualification of the candidate. The position involves frequent travel to different parts of India.
Task and responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in creating strategic and implementation plans for the program
Assist in managing program feasibility, costs, and delivery
Work closely with the credit lending team to assess partner organizations’ ICB needs
Creating training modules for ICB - develop guidelines or standards that are 'practical' and can be implemented in resource constrained environments.
Delivering trainings or doing Training of Trainers, if required
Monitoring of Partner Organizations post ICB Interventions
Create/improve process flows for all operational tasks
Maintain all program documents including funder files- partner files
Communication with partners
Assist the Program Manager in Funder reporting
Support Program Manager in Program Development
Skills and qualification/Required Competencies:
Graduate degree in Social Sciences/ Rural Management/ Agriculture & allied disciplines / Management /Finance or equivalent. Basic knowledge of Finance and organization appraisal is a must.
Min 1 years of experience, preferably in Development sector
S/he should have good interpersonal skills
S/he is expected to be proficient in using software packages like MS Office, etc.
S/he should have good planning and organizational skills
Good written and oral communication skills are a must. The candidate is expected to have considerable fluency in English, Hindi and a local language.
S/he should also have the ability to compile reports, prepare presentations, etc.
Ability to work in a team to achieve established goals is prerequisite.
A suitable candidate should have a high level of integrity, passion, flexibility, initiative. Candidates should also have a high level of social orientation.
The candidate would be required to relocate to Ahmedabad. Also, the job involves substantial amount of travel (10-15 days in a month).
